Leclerc Voyages records a “very well oriented [activity] this summer”, according to Bernard Boisson, CEO.
For the months of June, July, and August, the volume invoiced is at a growth of +10.5%.
“The average price being stable, this increase comes from an augmentation in the number of clients,” explains Bernard Boisson.
As for the destinations, the agency network records “major increases” on the Northern Mediterranean and islands: +7% on Continental Spain, +22% on the Balearics, +20% on Crete, +11% on Turkey, +37% on the Canaries, +12% on Italy, +16 % for Cruises, +18% on Sardinia, +33% on Rhodes and +11% for Sicily, +21% for the USA, +35% for Greece and +41% for Madeira.
However, departures to France are stable, just like for Morocco and Croatia, and those towards Tunisia are at a -10% decrease.
In the period between January 1st 2014 to late August 2014, the turnover increased by +9.30% on orders takings, and growth reached +8.55%.
This year, within the scope of 183 stable agencies (versus 184 N-1 with a closure in Rouen) the turnover should strongly augment and reach between 462 et 465 million euros (versus 431.2 in 2013.)
80% of this activity comes solely from tourism brought in by tour operators.
In 2014, Leclerc Voyages has gained 40,000 clients!
Bernard Boisson specifies in a press release that “the first days of September are following the same trend.”
