In order to generate more Puerto Rican visitors to the island of Saint Martin, and in particular to the French side of the island, the Saint Martin Tourism Office has retained the services of Paradigm Associates to effectively promote this attractive destination.

“Paradigm Associates has great firsthand knowledge of our island and all it has to offer to the Puerto Rican visitor as they have been working with the Dutch side Tourist Bureau for over 13 years now”, noted Grégoire Dumel, the Regional and Local Manager for the Saint Martin Tourism Office.

At a reception held on Monday March 03rd, 2014 at la Concha hotel in Puerto Rico, for travel professionals, travel press, top executives of jetBlue and Seaborne Airlines and members of the French community in Puerto Rico, Jeanne Rogers-Vanterpool, Commissioner of Tourism of French Saint Martin, together with her colleagues, Silviane John, General Director of the Office de Tourisme de Saint Martin and Grégoire Dumel, announced important marketing initiatives for the Puerto Rico market in collaboration with the Saint Martin Hotel Association (AHSM) and two strong travel industry partners.

One of the highlights of this meeting was the creation of air and land inclusive packages specifically designed for the Puerto Rican consumer.

Adding a second daily flight between San Juan and Saint Martin

Travel with Sears and Popcorn Tours have created air and land packages especially designed for the Puerto Rico market and will offer these packages through the Travel with Sears retail network, as well as to all travel agents in Puerto Rico through Popcorn Tours, a leading travel wholesaler in the island.

Besides the convenience of one stop vacation shopping, these air and land inclusive packages offer Puerto Rican consumers more significant savings than when air and hotel services are purchased separately.

Saint Martin has also forged strong working relationship with jetBlue, the principal airline providing airlift between San Juan and Saint Martin. The tourism organizations of Saint Martin are working closely with jetBlue and its Regional Marketing – Latin America & Caribbean Manager, Janid Ortíz, to explore the possibility of adding a second daily flight between San Juan and Saint Martin and the possibility of creating air and hotel packages through their Getaways program.

Janid Ortíz was also present at the event and provided a background on the very successful jetBlue San Juan – Saint Martin – San Juan daily flights served with modern Embraer E190 jet aircraft.

Saint Martin is easily accessible from Puerto Rico via daily, non-stop flights by jetBlue on modern, spacious and comfortable Embraer E190 jet airplanes that can carry 100 passengers.

Seaborne Airlines has also commenced daily non-stop flights to Saint Martin from San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, which further adds to the accessibility and convenience for Puerto Rican travelers.
