On Wednesday September 7, 2016, Jean-Paul Huchon, former President of the Île-de-France Regional Committee, submitted a report on “The France destination after the terrorist attacks” to the French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, reports codeFrance Info.
He states that it is difficult to measure the true consequences of the attacks that affected France these last few months. There are too many factors to take into account.
Hence, Jean-Paul Huchon offers to establish a national tourism observatory and a crisis management cell for the sector in France.
He also believes that it is a priority to boost the image of France, and more specifically of Paris. In this respect, he recommends the elaboration of an international promotion plan under the authority of a commissioner directly attached to the Prime Minister.
