The Finance Law of 2015 had anticipated 30.4 million euros of subsidies from the State to Atout France. The promotion agency finally received 33.2 million euros, meaning 2,8 million more than the previously foreseen amount.
Specifically, it benefited from additional funding that has been allocated and is currently being processed. This enabled Atout France to increase its revenues by reinvesting nearly 3 million additional euros in tourism promotion campaigns for 2015.
And this level of subsidy should continue for Atout France since, over 2016, the agency will be able count on the allocation of products relative to the issuing of visas.
These measures “are a reflection of the State’s strong will to make tourism a national priority,” rejoices Christian Mantei, Executive Director of Atout France.
