Thailand's Phuket Island will once again be accessible to foreign travellers without a vaccine or quarantine from 1 July 2021.
"Phuket has been without a new case of Covid-19 for 89 days ... There is an urgent need for foreign tourists here, to boost the economy and the tourism sector," provincial deputy governor Pichet Panapong told the Bangkok Post.
He also said that the Infectious Diseases Committee had approved the proposal to reopen the province without any restrictions to foreign tourists from July 1, 2021.
