Found on Thursday April 2nd, 2015, buried in the ground, the 2nd black box of the Airbus A320 of Germanwings that crashed on March 24th, 2015 in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, has spoken.
It contains the recordings of the flight settings. According to the Office of Investigations and Analyses (BEA) who took on the first analyses, it shows that Andreas Lubitz put the engine on automatic pilot to proceed to the descent of the aircraft.
An altitude of 100 feet - around 30 meters - would have been fixed. Settings that the co-pilot would have then modified various times during the plane’s drop in altitude.
Further readings of the recordings contained in this black box should be made. They will enable to shed more light on the circumstances of this tragedy.
