World Travel Market triumphed in the Travel Trade Event of the Year category.

This event was a phenomenal year, experiencing an impressive 5% increase in participants with the event opening its doors to more than 50,000 delegates over the four days (Monday 4 – Thursday 7 November).

All visitor groups experienced growth, according to audited figures, with the WTM Buyers’ Club seeing a phenomenal 8% increase.

This increase in senior buyers at WTM 2013 will see the event facilitate more than £2 billion in industry deals.

Many other winners on the night comprised of well-known WTM Exhibitors such as JacTravel for best Tour Operator of the Year, The View from The Shard for winning New Member of the Year and Tourism Marketing Company made for winning Service Provider of the Year.

VisitBritain also walked away with two awards, one for Destination Marketing Company of the Year and Best Trade Initiative of the Year.
