World Cup 2014: “Voyageurs du Monde” and IOX have won the competition!

The offers for fans of the French team are being sold like hotcakes

The 2014 World Cup has not started yet we already know at least two of its biggest winners: IOX Tour and Voyageurs du Monde. Both are marketing travel deals around the competition and their sales are doing very well. The seats are filling up quickly, so fans need to hurry if they want to make it to games in Brazil.

As the deadline approaches, supporters of the French football team are growing increasingly impatient.

And, with the last two successful wins against Ukraine (3-0) at the comeback play-offs and recently against the Netherlands (2-0) the "Blues" are growing more and more optimistic.

So much, that amongst them, many have chosen to fly to Brazil this summer to support the French players during the 2014 World Cup.

The tournament will be held throughout the country from June 12th to July 13th 2014.

This is very good news for at least two French tourism companies: Voyageurs du Monde, partnering with the Amaury Sport Organization for ticket packages and IOX Tour which is coined as "the official FFF agency” (French Football Federation, Editor's note) for the event.

“Less and less” seats available

In a newsletter sent out on Friday March 7, 2014, Voyageurs du Monde announced that it only has a few seats left.

The tour operator is offering promotions that include one seat for a Category 1 game to support the French Team during one of its three pool encounters.

Jean -François Rial, President of the company, confirms that there are “less and less" seats available. "Sales went well, we made more than 6 million euros in this sector," he adds .

As for IOX Tour, availability of seats is also becoming very scarce for the pool stage."Today, we have 1,700 confirmed customers for these packages," said Jeremiah Grossart, Director of the agency.

With trips sold from 2,390 euros, a simple calculation is enough to take note of the high revenues these sales entail.

Gathering Spaces

And it is not over as IOX Tour will soon launch its packages for the "Finals" at the end of the week, added the Director.

The number of seats and tickets for the Blues’ fan will depend on the how the French Team qualifies since it is the FFF that manages ticket sales under the control of FIFA.

Another activity for the Lyon based travel agency: managing the gathering spaces for French fans in the cities that will host the French team's matches.

"We aim to create a true emulation around the selection," said Jérémie Grossart.

And thanks to their agreement, the longer Didier Deschamps’ players stay in the game, the longer it will spark a popular craze, and in turn the more IOX Tour and Voyageurs du Monde will benefit!
