FTI Travel is a reliable source of employment in eastern France.

Since it bought Starter/Travel Lesage, in November 2012, the German-born group has largely increased its staff to conquer the French market.

It now has 90 people, including the Voyages Lesage DMCs, for a turnover of € 48.2 million, and an 8% growth.

The excellent results have allowed the company to expand its sales team, including its call center, where the number of employees doubled at the end of last year, a total of 25 people.

The sales team was also expanded throughout major cities such as Paris, Lyon and Nantes. And will soon be reinforced in the south of France.

"We are already making very good revenues in the south, with an excellent sales beginning" ensures Anke Hsu, Executive Director.

Employees motivated by a French project

To find new employees, FTI uses the specialized press, especially for positions of responsibility, and also recruiting firms.

The company also relies on its website, which receives between 7 to 9 CVs each week. "These direct applications reflect a growing interest in our brand, and shows that we are starting to be known" exclaims Anke Hsu.

For employees who want to work in the call center, the director focuses on the commercial qualities of the candidates, as well as their experience in sales.

She also appreciates the profiles a business school graduates, because she knows that they can adapt to various missions.

"What matters most is the commitment and willingness to contribute to the success of our project in France," she says .

While future employees must speak English, German proficiency is not mandatory, but an advantage.

This language is particularly useful in the case of potential expatriation. Since FTI is an international company that offers positions in its foreign branches , either in its headquarters in Munich, or within its receptive offices in Egypt, Turkey, Dubai, Tunisia and northern Europe.

"So far, no requests have yet been made. People who join us are highly motivated by the development of our business in France and do not want to leave us" exclaims Anke Hsu .

A motivation that is reflected in the figures, with an employee turnover of less than 5%.
