UEFA Euro 2016: France welcomes foreign visitors

promotion campaign to be launched in June


Operators of inbound tourism are mobilizing around a promotion campaign called “Welcome To…” to welcome more than 1.5 million visitors who are coming for the Euro 2016.

UEFA Euro 2016: France welcomes foreign visitors
For the final phase of the UEFA EURO 2016, from June 10 through July 10, France will welcome over 1.5 million visitors from all over the world.

In this respect, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, Atout France, the Club of Welcome Sites for the Euro 2016, CCI France and the DGE decided to launch the campaign “Welcome to…” in early June.

This operation will be deployed in the 7 host cities participating in the operation under the slogan Welcome to Paris, Lille Métropole, Lyon, Nice, Bordeaux Métropole, Toulouse, and Saint-Denis.

The posters will be visible inside more than 31,000 businesses. Placemats, bread bags, window stickers bearing the campaign’s colors will also be distributed along with a communication kit dedicated to social networks.

Additionally to this campaign, the CCI wished to help tourism professionals and businesses in improving the quality of their hospitality. Based on the program High Hospitality Academy, CCI France and the DGE are offering an awareness video along with a practical guide on hospitality.
