AirBnB goes on the offensive in the business travel sector

A page dedicated to reservations for business travelers

While it was mainly dedicated to individual renters, AirBnB is now tackling business travel. The group, worth 10 billion dollars, has expanded its offer: a page dedicated to reservations for business travelers was created to help them search and reserve accommodation, and manage their bills. Also a partnership with Concur, an American specialist in bill management softwares and business travel planning, has just been signed.

The American specialist on private home accommodation hopes to attract more business travelers with new services launched on Monday July 28th, 2014, as was reported on lefigaro.fr on July 29th.

In fact, the group has created a special page www.airbnb.com/business-travel “to help business travelers search and reserve accommodations, and easily manage their bills”, according to a message published on its website.

They account for 10% of their clients.

Why use Airbnb for your business travel?”, calls the brand on its dedicated homepage.

The arguments are summarized as: “feeling just like at home”, “being the closest possible” and “finding inspiration” in a unique place.

A partnership with Concur by the fall

Airbnb has a concluded a partnership with the American specialist of bill management softwares and business travel planning, Concur.

Thus, reservations on Airbnb will be included in the trip planning service, TripLink by Concur, and their bills will be automatically created.

At the same time, Uber, worth 18,2 billion dollars, has launched a new offer in the United States: “Uber for Business”, reports the specialized website Techcrunch.

The tourist car rental service with a chauffeur (VTC) has also signed a partnership with Concur in order to allow companies using the service to keep an update on billing and follow the spending on professional trips by their collaborators.
