The museum will offer two permanent exhibitions in spaces located in the same location of the roots of the twin towers - DR : NYC & Company
Almost thirteen years after the September 11, 2001 attacks, the memorial built in memory of the victims, the 9/11 Memorial Museum will open its doors on the site of the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers, in the district of Lower Manhattan, New York.
The opening day, scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, 2014 , will be followed by five days of remembrance, dedicated exclusively to welcoming families of the departed, survivors, rescue workers, residents and merchants of the Lower Manhattan area.
The museum will offer two permanent exhibitions in venues located in the exact location of the fondations of the twin towers.
The first exhibition entitled "In Memoriam " pays tribute to the victims of the attacks.
The second, chronologically traces the events of this dark day on the three sites that were effected (the World Trade Center, the Pentagon in Washington DC, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania where the fourth plane crashed.)
It also highlights the consequences of these attacks as well as their influence on the state of the world today.
